Outdoor Kitchens, Fire-pits, Pergolas and Other Patio Improvements

ramada and outdoor kitchenThose of us who live in Chandler, AZ, or other southern Phoenix areas, know the importance of outdoor living spaces. As you know, most residents have swimming pools, some surrounded with patios and terraces, while others are part of a more elaborate landscaping plan that includes a fire pit, or maybe a full outdoor kitchen. If you have been considering remodeling your patio area or installing an outdoor living space, make sure it is well thought out before you begin and is compatible with restrictions of your HOA.  We have experience navigating homeowners through the process of getting approval on their outdoor improvements.  Staying in compliance with local building codes is also a necessity.  Choosing a reputable and local contractor will go a long way in assuring you project is done right and on time.

In order to help you plan your outdoor living area, here are some things to consider.

Consider a Lazy River in Your New Phoenix, AZ Pool Design

Phoenix, AZ, Lazy River, Pool BuilderAre you looking for a custom swimming pool with serious pizzazz? Consider adding a lazy river to your pool design. A lazy river will add relaxation and beauty to your pool. It’s fun for the whole family, and guaranteed to impress any visitor! While lazy rivers are most commonly found in water parks and amusement parks, the right pool builder can incorporate this amazing feature in your home swimming pool.  A lazy river has a gentle current that allows you and your guests to float along its path. The lazy river winds around the swimming pool, providing endless hours of easy enjoyment.

A lazy river can add depth and complexity to your home swimming pool. The river allows features such as waterfalls, bridges, and islands. A waterfall is visually and sonically soothing. The waterfall can lead into the lazy river, and adds to the sense of flowing water that all humans find relaxing. Having a river presents a natural opportunity for a bridge to cross the river. A circular river can create an island in the middle of the space. An island can serve many purposes. An island in the middle of your pool area can be a space for lounge chairs, a deck, and a location for water or fire elements.

We recently purchased a used home with a large dirt back yard. Because the home required a lot of work inside and out, our budget for a swimming pool was very limited, we wanted a nice but somewhat simple design trying to be realistic with our budget. We got bids from some of the big pool builders in the area and even from a pool builder that a friend of mine works for.

We were very disappointed to say the least, all of which came up with very drab and plain designs, all were over thousands of dollars over budget. Then we talked to Bill Miller at Specialty Pools, by this time we didn't expect much. But Bill came over and put together some plans within our budget and we were "Blown Away" with what we could afford.
